Her journey started when she studied fashion design at Esmod fashion designer school and then worked in Jakarta as fashion designer. With both countries, amidst Indonesia and French arts and strong cultural surroundings, she starts to learn the oil painting from the old Indonesia artist who taught her the basic knowledge and from there she couldn’t stop to paint. When she moved to New York, again surrounded by the environment of new artists and their works, she continued to absorb the new concept to get more experience in her works.
“I enjoyed the time in New York” she said “but to realize what I want to do is the easy part, but figuring out how I am going to do it, is uncertain and unknown without a job or money” So she worked as freelancer fashion design in New York and later moved to Denmark to start a family with a daughter at side and a studio where she started designing her own brand handbags which turned out to be a success in Europe, Middle East and U.S. She hardly had any time left for other things but still tried hard to find some spare time where she could enjoy her other passion…paintings.
When moving to Singapore in 2006, she left the business that had successfully been running for 3 years, to follow her husband here, but instead of continuing her business, she decided to go ahead with her initial passion----painting!
Her work is inspired from the travel, things that move her heart or the memory of her wild dreams. Within all these she made it as her own work either in oil color or acrylic color with mixed media.
In Singapore she had a successful group exhibition which created good vibes in the local art community as the style was different and the colors again did some special to the painting. She joined different painting groups to get ideas and inspiration and enjoyed all the input from traveling in the region. But all good things has an end and a new adventure was about to start......
After 5 years in S.E Asia the family decided to move back to Denmark, a place that have always been the source for her creative artwork, the shifting colors coming from the four seasons give her plenty of inspiration for the next painting or drawing and the different look at life gives fuel for thoughts. The basement of the family domicile have become the most important room in the house, a place she can visit after a busy day being a mom and wife. Now, after a year in Denmark she have started a new line of inspiring paintings, receiving recognition from all corners of the world and we are eagerly waiting for the next exhibition
